MHBs

last night, i came out of hiding and played a very underground last minute show with these guys kevin and otto, who play in vetiver and who each have played in various bands like espers, antony and the johnsons, and along side joanna newsom. the show was so much fun, the hospitality of nate and julia (who live in the loft apartment the show was at) was incredible. they were such nice people! it had this nice little convenience store right out front that sold cheap 40's and bags of chips. i can't explain the vibe in the room, but it was something else. i saw a lot of unexpected people there, and tons of people i had never met before. it was a good experience and i'm glad michael asked me to play.

afterwards, steven and i headed over to the bug jar to dj, as we always do on thursdays. it was so much fun and by the time i was there i had drunk enough cheap 40's to only need two beers from the bar, so it was an inexpensive night! once the dancing was over, we decided to get some bad grilled food from marks texas hots. luckily some wonderful people that i work with came and gave me a ride there and home. such nice people!

tonight, i'm joining my friend david again at the little theatre cafe to play some drums for autumn in halifax. last time i joined him, it took a minute to get in tune with the other guys, but by the end we clicked. it should be fun, so come out if you get the chance.

after that, i've got to run over the village gate where i will be playing drums with some rochester friends : lou lou (sharp sword), benoit (carbonic), brian (gaybot). there's a cake and mixtapes themed party going on, and it should be crazy fun! we're playing a quiet set and it should be relaxing.

some things coming up:

harry and the potters with a wonderful and jujajuba at the a/v space (march 3rd)
barr with myself at the a/v space (march 21st)
a/v benefit with some hardcore bands (march 31st)

i'm super stoked on the benefit because i never play hardcore shows! though i used to be in bands that always did.

okay, that's about all for now. i'm out of things to say.

I too, am most stoked on that A|V benefit.
