blogging about music!
so i don't have much to say about anything, so i guess i'll talk about some records i'm completely stoked on.
i know it's old.. but it's still a great little split: the my morning jacket and songs: ohia split. i think this record contains one of the most crucial make out songs ever written.. and the songs: ohia song is probably the best song jason's ever written in my opinion.
and as if i haven't gotten enough of jason molina, the demo's for the magnolia electric co. album are really awesome. stripped down versions of all the album songs. key tracks, "just be simple" and "long dark blues".
ben and bruno - letters to michelle. i got this 4 song ep tape after seeing them downtown at the a/v space. i was super stoked that someone was selling a tape, because at the time all i had in my car was a tapedeck (which doesn't work now so i'm forced to listen to the radio), and who makes tapes anymore?
lastly, band of horses - everything all the time (yet to be released, it leaked!) i actually heard a song on the radio surprisingly, and had to go check out this band a little more in depth. the record is fantastic! not to mention i think some of the members were in carissa's weird.
so if some of that is new to you, check it out! if you have similar taste in music as me, you'll like it! i promise.
